Meeting Rooms


The library’s meeting rooms are available for public gatherings of a civic, cultural, or educational character. Commercial or fund-raising gatherings are prohibited.  All rooms except the Community Room are available during scheduled library hours only. All set-up and break-down activities must occur during open hours. Meetings must be finished at least 15 minutes before the library closes.  The Community Room may be used after library hours.

The library offers several rooms that range in capacity. We have space for small groups as well as large gatherings. Meetings will be reassigned by SCPL as necessary to best accommodate capacity needs of concurrent meetings.



A variety of audio-visual equipment is available for use. Arrangements for use of library equipment must be made in advance with a library staff member, at the time a meeting room is reserved.


Reserving a meeting room

To request a room, go to You must create a free account on behalf of your organization.  You will receive a response by email.  You may also call us at (502) 477-8137 or come by the library. An agreement must be filled out prior to the approval of your reservation.  If a room is needed after library hours, someone must pick up a key during library hours.


Reservations for a room may be made with no less than a two day notice and no more than a 30 day notice unless approved by library staff.
